we already told her. she didn't believe us at first. But when she knew we were serious, her eyes filled up with tears. She is so excited. She went to school today and told everbody.

There's no reason to be scared to death.

A few things to bring up for your first appt:

1) No GTT (glucose tolerance test) unless you like to dump on command -- ask for a post paradinal test instead, and remember that it's your body and you can refuse a test.

2) Need for frequent blood draws of ferritin and b-12.  Mine were every 8 weeks.
